Craftsman YS4500 (917-276601) will not start

Sorry, it was same model no start issue, so was just curious to what is possible when a motor does not start. I hardly was looking to hijack anything.

It's fractionally possible, but would require a loud clattering noise for a brief period. Like really loud. Rods nearly never just let go without any fuss.
