Craftsman Lt4000 engine died when engage blade

Engine run good , no problem but when I hit the blade switch it take 2-3 sec and engine lose power and died !! Please help me

it wasnt in reverse was it? it happens

test the operation of the spindles and pulleys to see if they are free or if the bearings are shot

If KEAkar's ideas did not solve your problems check to see if the Carb is too lean. If you can richen the mixture try it.
