craftsman lawn tractor deck metal ripped

I was backing it out of my utility trailer and the skid plate underneath got caught on some part of the trailer ramp. I continued to back up and the whole plate was ripped and bent out underneath the deck.

I'd try to straighten is like auto body work . Hammer and press,if you have one. Especially if it is detachable. Maybe heat. Pound it into a sandbag .
