I was attacked by mice. They ate the some of the wiring harness attached to the intake manifold and also some of the spark plug wire. I have to piece out the wiring harness but I would like to replace the ignition module. I have a part number 24-584-01-S. Has this number been superseded to a new number?

Yes the coil has been superseded twice since the PN you have.

superseded to 24 584 45-S which supersedes to 24 584 201-S. Replace both coils. And repair the other electrical wires.

Normally I would just the high tension but in this case the coil's core in de-laminating due to rust.

Hmmm as far the wife's peanut habit is she kin to an elephant or a squirrel? Just kidding. Mice have a nasty habit of doing thing like this. I just repaired an Exmark ZTR where I found a cup full of whole corn kernels in the control panel.
