craftman 46" brake hangs

when i use brake it hangs and i have to pull back with my toe to release. thanks for any help.

i the spring bhinde the tire on your trany maybe broken pull of the tire its normally the right side when sitting on the mower and the spring on the rod maybe broken hope this helps :wink::thumbsup::smile:

If you post the model numbers we should be able to help you locate the broken or missing return spring.

If its out of adjustment the spring wont help it return, or release the brake. Or as mentioned the spring has broken off, and gone.
