changing the k66 trans oil in the simlicity conquest with power steering.

Will draining all of the power steering components be required to prevent oil contamination with old nonsynthetic oil in the system?

Replace the oil with a 5-50 fully synthetic oil.
Also replace or clean the filter which is located behind the black round plug with the 3/8 square drive.
