chainsaw bike

Im going to find an old bicycle and slap a chainsaw powerhead on it....have not figured out my drive system yet though .....suggestions?? This is going to be my first attempt at this
 
dont do it friction driven since it will wear out the tire quickly. put the engine inside that triangle of the frame of the bike, then send the chain to one sprocket(where the cranks and pedals go) then have another sprocket running to the back wheel. i dont know if i explained that for you to understand by typing it on the computer.
 
Sounds easy to do a chain drive but friction drive wont be too bad either .....im just on the fence between the both cant make up my mind on which one to use.....my engine is going to be a husky 55 or a stihl ms 260

i wouldnt do the friction drive. i built one with my friend for his dad that wanted to save on gas. it was chain driven. he could make it to work with about a tank of gas and home with a tank of gas. i think we used something like a 50cc engine.
 
There is sort of a custom shop here in town. They hang out more than they custom but they make some cool stuff from time to time. Old bikes that have been restored with a small engine are a favorite. Several retired fellows have one made by them. They use the chain drive most of the time. A friction wheel drive with a complete purchased kit is another one they make. They have to have an engine I think under 50cc here so no tag is needed. The old Tecumseh 49 was a popular one for a time several years back. The last few they made have a 4 stroke on them of some kind. The pedals start the engine. Folks drive them around out at the city lakes alot in the warmer months along with golf carts. ATVs are not allowed there anymore. Those electric handicap carts are allowed as well. They look to be a handy kind of fun outfit.
