carburetor problems

I have a small engine outboard 9.9 Evinrude motor. I was told that it is a late 1990's model. the serial number is so worn I can't read it. The carburetor is leaking gas out of the bottom. The accelerator pump diaphragm (1 inch in diameter with a small brass button attached in the center of it. The brass button has a cup on one side to hold the spring in place and a flat surface on the other side for the linkage to push up on) is worn out. I am having a difficult time trying to find a new diaphragm to replace it. Reference info on carburetor is: TEIKEI 5BK 6G905 Japan. If anyone can steer me in the right direction, I would greatly apricate it. Thank you
 
Really need to actual model number of the outboard engine. But it appears to be a F9.9???? (missing ending letters). What I have found so far is that in order to rebuild the carb individual has to be ordered per the F9.9B 1985 parts list.

You may need to go to the local Marine repair shop to further id the specific outboard engine.

Searching on that carb info finds a bunch of stuff around the world, but not finding much in America. The engine model number would help. Does it look like any of these?

best bet would be to join a forum dealing with that brand outboard motors, or find a dealer who sold Evinrude 30 - 40 years ago. Fuel lines can go bad and drip down the outside of a carb also.

That said, have you done a Google Search using "TEIKEI 5BK 6G905"? I got many pages when I Googled that including parts, diagrams, engines it was used on etc. Mostly Yamaha and Mariner engines.

I think the OP is looking at something similar to this 1985 F9.9B 6G9 carburetor.

Outdoor power equipment does not include boat engines. I don’t work on boats. Try for a boat forum.
