So I found this locally on a classifieds ad? It’s listed as a no start. Wondering the value and what I should offer. If anyone knows if this is a decent mower. If not I’ve found a running ariens for $100

Well obviously a John Deere branded mower, Looks to either have Overhead valves or a Overhead cam, by the valve cover.
Looks like a briggs engine, they're generally easy to work on, probably just a gummed up carb from sitting. If you do look at it, pull it over to be sure you dont hear any knocking, just in case the connecting rod is toast.
if it were me i'd probably offer in the neighborhood of $50....
EDIT: looks to be a John Deere JS63VC Variable Speed Mulching Mower

Got 2 for the price of one. Guy has a lawnmowing business. I got a JS63C and a JS26 for $65. Too small for his needs. Nice score I think. Need a couple of cables and servicing but should work for me.

Just need to find out about getting bags
