My local dealer quoted a price of $10500 for a BX1860 with a 48" mower deck. Is this a good price? I am near Pittsburgh.
What is the difference between a BX1860 and the BX1870. I know that the 1870 is newer but the specifications look the same.
I mow about 2 acres. No steep hills but lots of tree roots and uneven ground. I have gone though 4 lawn/garden tractors in 15 years (old JD 212,JD 118, Cub 2160 and a Gravely ZT2048). The mower decks just get the hell knocked out of them.
I need a tractor that will last me the rest of my life. 10k is a lot to spend to mow grass but I am tired of working on these cheap mowers.
Should I consider any other models or brands for this type of money?
