Briggs won't start

Craftsman MTS5500 with Briggs Intek VTwin 24HP. Engine will only start when choked then dies. Any suggestions.

Clean the carb, especially the main jet. If that does not do it, you will have to rebuild the carb. This website might help.

Why not just clean the carburetor with spray cleaner first, then see if it helps. Then do a kit/rebuild after that. Could be some dirt in the inlet screen going into the carburetor clogging it up. A good cleaning wouldn't hurt.
