SCAG LAWNMOWER Briggs & Stratton Engine
Model: 303776, Type: 1046-A02, Code: 95070511

Recently ordered p/n 9504P (pulled coil off the Right-side) and p/n 9505P (pulled coil off the Left-side).

The company I ordered the p/n's above from sent me two boxes of DZE 31-9293. No instructions, no left/right/#1 or #2 differentiation.

Parts are expensive, I don't want to make a mistake. Can anyone tell me if its a non-issue?

Both ignition coils are the same one. Briggs PN 492341 superseded to 591459. It just that the DZE 31-9293 are aftermarket ones.

Parts that were taken off are 2 different numbers: 9504P and 9505P, why wouldn't the replacements be one for each side? Need to be absolutely sure rather than blow 2 coils. Any idea where I can get the specs for installation?

The numbers you posted are date codes; not actual part numbers.

As blowing the new coils you make sure the kill harness is undamaged and that no stray voltage is being applied via the kill harness.

What I and others go by is the engine's model, type code, and its date code. Sometimes Briggs changes specs hence it is noted when done in the IPLs.

The DZE is not listed it not one my approved internal parts nor is it available through my normal distributors.
