Changed spark plug, drained fuel tank and replaced with fresh gas. Mower used 6 times in 4 months, then wouldn't start. Has spark but won't start. Fuel line open after leaving gas tank. Tried starting with fuel cap loose, nothing. Blade shaft not bent. This is a no choke model that belongs to a friend.

Make sure that the choke plate is closing fully. You may have to adjust it.

If the old gas was left in it over winter without a fuel stabilizer it may need the Carb valves cleaned - I would try with a fuel cleaner and carb spray first and then, if necessary, take the carb apart and clean the jets. This gas with ethanol  gums up carbs and engines if you don't use a stabilizer for storage.
