don't think there is a float runs for 5 seconds then spits fuel out of small hole by filter

Can you post the engine information: Model, Type, code ect. there should be a plate somewhere on the engine that looks like this:


This information will help folks be able to better identify your engine and better assist you with figuring out what might be the issue. Pictures of the mower, engine, and carb always help too.
