bran new pto not engaging for more than 30 seconds

got white riding lawn mower ran great for two or three mowings then pto clutch woulg get hot and shut down.. so I went and bought a new one two hundred dollars.. now new one does shut down before it gets hot as well..

You need to test your engine's charging system.

i have been having problem with batterie staying charged ..put jump pack on it yesterday to get started and pto worked just fine as long as i kept jump pack on ..when i disconnected the jump pack the pto shut off ... called the place where i bought the pto they said same thing so i am gonna take it today to have it tested to see if charging system is getting right power. thanks for the reply
