BR 450 is loud

Hi everyone,


About 4 years old. Just started to sound louder than normal. Otherwise works great. I have done lots of work on my 4 cycles but little on 2 cycles. I can look at the muffler, but beyond that Idk.

Any ideas what I can check?
 
I got some news for you it is a 4 cycle (Stihl's 4 Mix 4282 engine).

I looked up a BR550 instead BR450 so the wrong info was posted

Sorry have look up the wrong IPL then. I must pulled the BR550 by mistake or typo on this end, they are side by side in the directory here. Sorry about that but it can happen early in the morning when the coffee hasn't kick in fully. Again please accept my apology I didn't mean to make that stupid mistake.

But it is probably the muffler. It might just be the muffler being or blown exhaust gasket too.

It is the 4244 two cycle engine.

I made the mistake. I thought it was BR 500. Went out to the shed and it’s BR 450

I’ll check the muffler and gasket. That would be an easy repair.

Fish why are you giving out my phone number? That is what I gave the other day when someone want my cell number. To bad it was the cell number I had at the mental hospital.

And that looked like me before I lost 40lbs. no more coveralls just a regular work uniform now with 38" waist line.

But yes we must have the right equipment model numbers to give correct info. Even the BR500 is a 4 mix engine.
