Bolens BL110 String Trimmer starter rope does not recoil

I have taken it apart 3 different times as when starting at end of pull it wont recoil. I may have used it 15 times and don't know if it is worth repairing as I'm tired of tearing it apart. Any suggestions yo prevent this from occurring.
 
I just had this with a Husqvarna trimmer. It has a spring in the start pulley that was slipping out of it's hole, and it chewed up the pulley. I had to replace the spring(it broke) and the pulley. I pulled up a couple parts diagrams, but they have no details on the starter. Parts tree shows starter as unavailable, though there are multiple versions of the BL110, with more model info it may be findable. Hopefully someone who knows this machine will speak up.
 
Some starters are available depending on the actual 41 model number.

Some of those trimmers with multiple brand names were subject to the starter housing warping causing the recoil pulley to bind.
