Anyone else here that has the Big Green Egg smoker/grill? If you don't know about them I urge you to look them up online. I absolutely love mine. If there's any fellow "EGG-HEADS" on here that want to swap stories/recipes please respond. Everyone have a safe and happy 4th!

Have never seen one before, will have to look up info, it appears to be an electric or charcoal type. Happy Fourth to you too.

It burns natural lump charcoal. I can fill it and smoke a Boston butt for 18hrs at a constant temp of 250f without it going out or adding charcoal.

Did a Google search and learned a lot, people have high praise for the "Egg" but it is out of my price range. The last time I used charcoal was back about 1992, a group of us were on a camping trip and we cooked a 20 pound turkey in my square BBQ grill. I still have about ten pounds of charcoal left plus the grill (someplace). Should get it out and try it for old times sake thanks for jogging my memory...:laughing:

Yes, they are pricy, but I think of mine as an investment that will last for years and years. Have fun breaking the old charcoal grill back out :)
