QuickBooks is probably your best bet. In my opinion it's the most user- friendly software available for the money. They have good support as well.

I'v used Quickbooks premier in my small engine repair business the last ten years. used peachtree for about one year until end of year tax time and was doing inventory and discovered that it sometimes couldn't add and subtract purchases and sales correctly. ie have 20 spark plugs in inventory and purchase 50 and then sold 40 and it would show 58 in stock. for just basic service type business the entry level quickbooks would probably work fine for you.

QuickBooks hands down?I worked as an I.T. consultant for 12 years and for easy to use small business applications you can稚 beat it. If you plan on using a particular CPA you might want to check with them first and be sure they can help you with QuickBooks. Most CPA痴 are familiar with it, you just don稚 want to get to the end of the year and find out they have no clue how to use the software. Also if you need to input data from multiple locations I suggest you look at their QuickBooks online product. It痴 a monthly fee and it痴 dependent on the internet but can be accessed from anywhere and the data is not subject to corruption on the local hard drive.
