Bent Tie Rod

Is it ok to drive on a bent tie rod until the part comes in to repair it?

That will depend on how bad its bent, how far its out of alignment, and where you are going to drive it. If its way out of alignment and you drive it on a hard surface you are going to wear out the tires fast.

It's also possible that if it's bent bad enough, it could be weakened and may snap off.

were you driving when the tie rod got bent? maybe someone else should drive it for awhile :cool:

I have to say it wasn't me driving it. As a matter we live many miles apart. She could drive it up here to NY and then maybe I could bent the other one for her :thumbsup: I just love the cool looking toe-in or toe-out look when they come into my shop, its $$$ in my account.
