Battery Cable Gauge & 024 x 32 MA?

Hello, Murray 40inch rider Briggs Stratton13.5HP. Looking for suggestion on gauge size for battery cables. Also, please explain part reference 024 x 32 MA for ground cable in electrical diagram.

It sure looks like nothing more than a replacement part number. The MA at the end would indicate it is used on a Murray piece of equipment. When Briggs had Murray, Simplicity, etc. the letters at the end of part number signifies which brand the part was used on. Just my opinion.
