Bad Boy 48 inch ZT zero turn turning problem

Hi All, new user here. I have an older 48 inch with a 27 HP engine. I have 2 reservoirs for steering. The left handle reservoir went empty. I found out it takes 20/ 50 oil. I've added some into the reservoir and now it just turns left. i'm assuming I have to do something else to maybe prime it or something? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

You need to lift the drive wheels clear of the ground and operate the drive wheels in both directions without load for a few minutes to remove any air trapped. Constantly switch from forward to reverse.

After that, sit it back on the ground and give it a try.

If that does not work for you the drive pump for the affected side has internal damage from running dry from the oil loss.

Thanks that's what I did and it seems to be working fine

Since that seems to have worked for you that is well and good. They do recommend releasing the hydro's when you do that.

Glad to hear that. Make sure to keep a check on the oil level and search for any leaks. Oil does not evaporate.
Well turns out after it's setting for about 3 days I went to mow again and even though there was oil in the reservoir it had steering problem again. I opened up the hose let it drip in from the hose into I assume the gears and it worked again today but we'll see what happens in a few days.

First you release bypass and work steering arms back and forth, then you take hydros out of bypass and work steering arms back and forth, then you take it off of jack stands and try mower under load on the ground.
