B&S carb

Hi All, looking for a video for rebuilding a B&S carb, #99876, I believe that the venture in this carb is placed in the wrong position but I would like to confirm, is this tiny hole supposed to be clear? Can’t poke a paper clip through it.

Briggs part #s are 6 digits.

Maybe not on vintage engines , this was built around 1954, yes I have looked on U tube, that was my first attempt.

Wow, 1954. Maybe a vintage mechanic will come by. If you can't get this carb working...maybe there's a modern one for similar hp and mount. And can adapt throttle and choke.
