Ariens model 911134 with a Kawasaki FJ180 V motor- gas in oil

Tiger, as a service tech you know what to look when getting after market parts. This thread is a prime example of how the DIY guy can get into trouble when they order “IT WILL FIT” parts which may fit but will not do the job. Carbs and coils are the most common components where the DIY guys get into the most trouble, as they don’t realize how the part works or how to test them.

My experience tells me that you get what you pay for, and I’ve replaced bad parts the customer bought cheaper because they wanted to save a dime. Only time I would consider purchasing from one of these companies is when it is my last resort. Past my mid 70’s I still keep busy with customers who trust my decision on where I get my parts.

I guess what I should have done is try and findf a rebuild kit reather than a complete carb, but the problem is the carb only has LMJ stamped on it, so how do I find the exact model number to try and find a kit?
There's some pics of the carb details in a previous post.
Thanks.

I gave you the part numbers for your proper carb. I suggest that you go to the dealer and have him order the correct one. Yes you may have to pay a little more but if it is the wrong one he will have to bite the bullet. Make sure you take along the engine numbers and the numbers I posted, so he can double the my numbers.
