I have a 2000 EZR 1540 [model 915003] with a leak in one of the transaxle cases that's been getting worse for the last couple years. it's at the point where I need to add some oil to the reservior every week to keep the level where it belongs. It looks like it's leaking from between sections on the case, no cracks visible anywhere. The manual just calls it an Eaton right angle transaxle with an ariens PN 01500100.
Does anyone have experience with these or know if these are worth trying to break down to fix the leak? do they use gaskets or just permatex?
