Another Free Craftsman mower

Found this today, not the usual find but it works as found, missing a few wood rollers but sharp as a razor. 17 passes and it mowed my front lawn in about 20 minutes. Strangely it seemed like less work than using the self propelled bagger. Model number 123.8172
It looks like a candidate for a repaint to me if for nothing more than preservation.

Hello V.,

That's a nice one. A little paint and make some new rollers and it would really stand out.

These (real) reel mowers were my incentive to learn how to work on engine powered push & self-propelled mowers.

When I was a kid, we also had one of these mowers with a 2HP B&S cast iron engine.

I have the same one out back in the shed, it works but its missing a tire. I've never been able to find where to buy new tires for it. It came with the house,

I'd restore mine if I knew where to buy the tires and some new rollers. I think termites ate the rollers and handle on mine.
