Air filter housings - Are they an add-on, or...

Hello, I have been shopping for a new zero turn and I have noticed a variety of engine options and also some larger air filter housings attached. Are some these after market items, or factory installed? If someone does install an after market housing/add-on, does it effect the warranty?

changing the air filter after bought might require changes to the carb.
