age of Honda lawnmower

I have a Honda lawnmower that does not backup and I am trying to figure out if it is still under warranty. I really liked this lawnmower until this issue.

Does anyone know how to figure out the age?

model # HRR216K9VKAA
Serial number MZCG-1125058

There was a guy that responded to ALL Honda questions (Robert@Honda), however he has not replied to any for a while.

I hope he is OK.

Your best bet would be to contact an authorized Honda dealer to inquire if your mower is still under warranty.

Yeah, that's my issue. I called a local service shop, but he said that he couldn't tell from my serial number how old it was and that it must be "grey market"(not sure what that means, but I know it was originally from home Depot). I'll try another shop today.
