Agco Allis transmission

I have an Agco Allis 918 H and want to add a little oil to the transmission and it states that to use a multi-purpose oil
What is a multi purpose oil, the internet says it is 3 in 1 oil but I think that is to light

what oil should I use in the transmission?

Guys I guess I explained this wrong it is called in the parts manual "Bevel Gear & Side Plate group" it is for the POWER TAKE OFF not the transmission as I stated
and it says fill with multi-purpose oil until oil touches the bottom of the stick
