After my lawn boy became impossible to start for reasons I haven't yet figured out (that was a thread all on its own), The old lady that lives next door gave me her old mower as she got a new one for the year.
This mower I got is a push Murrey with a Tecumseh engine. Its about 15 years old apparently and I got it running all right. My beef with it is the cut height, it leaves the grass too long. That would be no big deal if it had adjustable wheels, but of course that would be hoping for too much.
I'm looking for the best course of action to fix this. I have considered:
-Buying adjustable brackets (or taking them from a free non-running mower) and drilling holes to mount them on some how.
-Drilling new holes to mount the existing wheel connections up a little higher.
-If there is a way to bring the blade down lower I would be up for that.
-Possibility of finding smaller wheels to mount on it.
What would probably be the best course of action for this?
