new gaskets and while running sprayed carb cleaner around carb to check for air leaks --on the carb there are two brass tubes with holes --i made sure the holes were clear-is the end of the tube supposed to have a hole--also i placed the small jet on the left side of carbHow exactly did you clean the carb? did you use new gaskets everywhere? A small rip or gap in a gasket will cause surging.
The surging has nothing to do with valves. Surging is a lean fuel condition primarily caused by dirty carburetor, or sometimes air leaks in intake gaskets, etc. Occasionally after correctly cleaning carburetors, they just don’t come back and run right. Is it surging at all RPMs?new gaskets and while running sprayed carb cleaner around carb to check for air leaks --on the carb there are two brass tubes with holes --i made sure the holes were clear-is the end of the tube supposed to have a hole--also i placed the small jet on the left side of carb
Torch brand?new spark plugs cleaned
Did you clean the inside, removing the main jet and the emulsion tube? Pressure test the carb needle at 7psi for 30+ minutes?cleaned carb twice clean gas(fresh)
Yes. Do it yearly for a good running engine.still surging valve adjustment?
