Bought a little REFURBISHED 440E last year, just for light limbs and stuff around the place, started out great, but i've had an issue with it throwing chains... I've been sharpening, and tightening chains for years and i've never had an issue as much as with this little sucker, and the worst part is, every time it throws the chain, i have to buy a new one because it shreds the drive link teeth up beyond repair. what gives!?
i've inspected it closely, as in the clutch and bar, and making sure everything looks aligned when tightened down, and the oiler works great too so i know the chain shouldn't be getting too hot and stretching/wearing prematurely...
It's really weird as i've never had a issue like this.. I've had this issue with Oregon and Husqie chains.. so i don't think thats the issue.

Small limbs can cause the chain to ride up out of the top chain rail also any sideloading of the bar can cause flexing to the point of throwing the chain. And the longer the bar the easier it is to throw the chain. Just some outside thoughts I have personally seen with saws,
