318 Engine side panels

Are the holes circled in the attached photo actually used? Ain't nothing to screw them to, no other unused holes for a connecting part, parts diagram shows screw and push nuts in the rear holes, but not these.

No, they aren't used on the 318. I believe another model of tractor with larger frame, possibly the 420 or 430, might have utilized the holes.

No is correct. They probably hooked them there to go through the factory paint booth.

These panels are used on a few models. Other models use the holes. FYI
