2020 toro time cutter keeps shutting off.

Hello M,

I had several occasions where cheap "no name" fuel line was substandard and literally turned like a black tar chewing gum texture. Other cheap lines purchased in bulk rolls online would split and crack within months of being installed. I had to track down quite a few repairs and apologize to customers, but I corrected the issue and moved on.

Now I only buy branded fuel line from the parts stores.

As for Ethanol blended fuels and gas lines, I cannot draw any solid proof that is creates line failures. (At first, I did question the fuel though). South Texas heat is very hard on all rubber a vinyl products.

I can't nail down a time either. Only add that the alcohol has to dry the line out continually.

Modern day cars and trucks have stainless fuel lines if they are flex fuel types.

I think all the engine manufacturers claim E-10 is okay to keep selling engines in areas where all you have it E-10.

All I can say is I don't use it, see NO benefit in it being less HP and MPG and move on. We do know these are GASOLINE engines from the get go.

The time line of ethanol breaking down fuel lines, metering diaphragms, o-rings, etc. is a question that I have never gotten answered, from anyone. Reason being is because nobody really knows, and because I don’t think ethanol fuel does as much damage as many people hype it. Not everything is black and white and I understand.
