hey guys, about to pull the trigger on my first zero turn.
Budget is around 4,00-5000. My buddy has a nice new Husqvarna with 48” deck and kawi 730v engine, 3100 serviceable hydros, etc all for $4500 out the door.
Good enough mower for years of mowing my 1.5ac of grass. Usually takes me 1hr on my old walk behind…
Anyways, I never like buying new, especially when it comes to toys since usually I can get a beefier, but slightly used toy for the same amount as new.
In walks this 2016 hustler x-one. It’s a 1,200 pound beast. No idea how it weighs 400lbs more than the Husqvarna… I know the engine is bigger and the rear tires are 2” bigger but still this is a tank. He's selling the 2016 ZRT for $4,600, it has 370 hours on it and was babied residentially for sure.
Let me know your thoughts. I know these have parker hydros and some other gizmos that the a husky-like mower wont, but let me know your thoughts on purchase price. He said it was 10k new but it should be closer to 8-9k. This would be my first zero turn, but I'm very mechanically inclined… don’t know if this particular one is easy to work on…

Thanks!

In my opinion, Husqvarna isn't even close to a Hustler. I owned a Hustler Fastrak for 15 years and regret the day I sold it. The only reason I sold it was due to getting old and the knees didn't like stepping up on the Fastrak. I bought a JD X370 so I can keep one foot on the ground while I slide into the seat.
