Could anyone with a Murray (model is shown above) please post a photo or a sketch (assembled )of the bracket and spring to help hold the hood from going to far? TIA

I recently bought a 405000x8 (2005) and it's simple...2 bolts/2 shoulder nuts hold hood on. 1 large screw is the blocker. Could add another blocker screw to the other side if too wobbly.

My IPL looks similar. More pics to get a better idea. I can take more focused ones tomorrow. You may be missing 39 and 41 - RH and LH Grille Support. They are NLA but not hard to fab some up.

It seems that I have an older model (2002) Murray SELECT, model #425009x31A, Widebody. 16.5 hp, I took photos of the spring and attachment hook but unfortunately I wasn't able to attach the files because this site said that they were too large. Sorry, I don't know how to reduce the size of the photos. Thanks!
