I have gone so far as to rebuild the heads,
I've replaced the coils,
I even replaced the carb, and manifold!
Facing it from the rear the cylender on the left sems to be fowling the plug?
Or not getting good enough spark?
Is there a way to do away with the CDI box?

Replace the plug and remove the coil kill wire and see if it runs fine after that. Many of the coil kill wire harnesses have diodes that fail over time and it will cause "cross firing" of the coils against each other where one will cancel the other.

We need you engine product identification label information to provide more accurate information.

If it is a Kohler Command CH25, it may have a SAM module. We need more information for further diagnosis.
