1988 model# 6461 number 1 finished!

Fellow Vintage Mower Freaks:

Just scared-up a 1987 Lawn-Boy Model 6461, Serial # F0008181, F engine. Starts and run well. Just wondering. What kind of compression numbers should I be getting? Sorry, but I'm not very cyber-savvy. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated. Fire and fall back. Over.

Above 80 psi will run above 100-120 psi is really good.
 
Fellow Vintage Mower Freaks:
Thanks to turfboy1997, jp1961, and somebody named Muhamed something-or-other, who responded to request for acceptable compression numbers. Tested it. I came up with 115 psi ("dry"), and 135 psi with a shot of oil down the spark-plug hole. Looks like a "keeper." Thanks again for all the help. While I have your attention, what's the best way to scare-up a copy of the original owner's manual? Over.

Very nice! It would of been nice to have one of those commercial bricks when I was in high school cutting lawns all day in the summer.
