so the starter will turn the engine, but it won't start..... Correct?
It could be a fuel or spark issue.
First take out one or both spark plugs, if you have carburetor cleaner spray it into the plug holes, but one or two short bursts. Or gasoline in the plug holes will work. Just a little bit.
Reinstall the plugs and wires and try to start, if it fires then dies, you have a carburetor/ fuel issue, if it doesn't start, I would say most likely no spark is being produced.
I would order an Inline spark tester, it just plugs into the plug wire and clips on the spark plug, and it lights up when you have spark, depending on which brand you get.
