14hp Kohler command info needed

I have a 14hp Kohler command on a Dixon ZTR4422
I am looking for any service manuals that are out there.
Model#cv14s
spec#ps1428
Is there a compression release on these engines?
It cranks very hard, drains battery, sputters and wont take off. Any info would be appreciated.
