13 hp murray mower.

Have a 13 hp Murray riding mower with tecumseh engine. I just replaced the carburetor with a new one. The only way it will run is with full choke. Soon as you take it off choke it dies. Replaced fuel filter but with no help.
 
i think you may have a air leak also but you said you replaced it with a new carb is it brand new or another carb new to you if its another it may need to be cleaned
 
Thanks fellows, it was a new carb, identical to the old one. I will check for leaks and also will check the new carb. Even that it is new it could still need checking out. Thanks
