Operator to Mechanic--- this trimmer gets hot. Anyone ever heard this one?

Has anyone ever seen a bump head on a grass trimmer melted to the gear head. I had to cut the plastic base on the bump head to get it off. Now what would this tell you about the operator? This is on a Kawasaki trimmer.

Hello everyone, been spinning a wrench for at least 40 yrs now. Automobiles. aircraft, motorcycles, ATV, welding and fabrication and now for the past years , small engine. You know you have to be part crazy to do this stuff all day. Just wanted to say HELLO.

With only 67 hrs on mower engine has started to spit and pop. If you shake the mower while running it starts to pop really bad. I am going to take a fuel sample and then pull the carb to look for trash.
