I believe I have found a replacement Briggs with the same shaft size. So it looks like the 31R977 series will work...I hope.

The guy who gave it to me said the head was cracked and oil is dripping out of the exhaust. I would assume the head is toast. The Code stamped on the motor is 31Q777 0120 B1 090929ZD.

I was recently given what looks like an older Snapper Zero Turn Mower that is is really good shape. It will start up and run but the Head is cracked and smokes to beat the band. I was just wondering if anyone has ever had success changing a head or should I just invest in a whole new motor. Keep...
