There are 6 to 8 small bolts across the very front of the deck. They are attached to two separate "bars" on the inside of the deck. These bolts allow you to lower the two bars below the bottom edge of the deck. What is the function, purpose or benefit lowering these bars? Can't locate this info...

Shouldn't the mower deck be level to the ground? My deck looks like it sits lower in the front than the rear. One of the adjustment bolts looks like someone who needs to lay off the Ho Ho's and beer, stepped on it. I have ordered a new one. Jeffrey

2006 31 hp Briggs and Stratton. Engine has a miss at low rpm's but runs fine at wide open throttle. I'm thinking a dirty slow jet in the carb? I've have searched carb rebuild kits but the one's I've seen do not come with the float valve. Why not? Jeffrey
