I do it kind of like exotion. If I'm in the backyard I use a tarp to put the leaves on, but if I'm in the front I just blow it right to the curb. We are allowed to put leaves at the curb for pickup. There is not supposed to be any grass, but everyone puts that there too and they still pick it...

The trimmer you saw was the SRM-225. I bought mine a year-and-a-half ago and use it commercially (now on 20-25 lawns per week). It has never let me down! I think you will be happy with it! And buy it from a dealer. If HD has it for a lower price the dealer should match it...

Yeah...I don't go counterclockwise around the whole yard at once, just in sections (when I can't just go up and back). As you can see from the pictures, it almost looks like stripes from a lawn tractor! :thumbsup:

I came back a few days after July 4th to mow a customer's lawn and I found this in the backyard. I saw them setting off fireworks there on the 4th. I don't know if something went wrong or if that always happens! :confused3:

I'm not going to say if you should buy it or not, but it's a lawn tractor, so getting it for the price of an HRR is good!

The front yards of a lot of the houses I mow look similar to this (below). As you can see there are curves, and some yards aren't very wide, so there can be a lot of turning. Most of the yards I do are 0.25 of an acre.

Yeah that's pretty much the same with me. I bought my trimmer in the beginning of 2012, my blower in mid-2012, and my edger at the end of 2012. My older Honda is from 2006, and my newer is from 2012 (sound like a broken record). But the "oldie" is my other trimmer...over 25 years old!

Well if it's anything like the newer Hondas you should disengage the blades, let it idle, and then turn it off; not turn it off when the blades are still engaged. Find the serial number...and then find the appropriate manual here: Honda Power Equipment: Honda Generators, Lawn Mowers...

No Honda mower (except for the HRS) will side discharge, but the HRX and HRR will REAR-discharge. I would recommend the HRX, but the HRR also can do all 3 of those modes. Both have a Clip Director.
