From your last response, it sounds like you may have a broken Crankshaft or seized bearings. Did it slow down slowly or stop abruptly?

You are treating your battery correctly. I run gas engines dry of Fuel and if possible also drain the Float bowl. You do not want Ethanol contaminated fuel left in any tank or container for over 30 days.

It is likely that you have 1 or More Spindle bearings seizing up.

It is also important to Incorporate. Then it is more difficult for them to take your home and vehicle in case of big dusputes. Use a competent Accountant. Keeping good honest accurate records is very important. If you build it they will come!

If you are at all uneasy about mowing the slope, keep off it. Zero Turn mowers are NOT good at traversing slopes. Plant ground cover.

New Valve Cover gaskets in case you need them after setting Valve Lash (clearance). Removing the Engine fan assembly will let you see if the Crankshaft key is partially sheared. It could also be dirt floating around in the carb. Simple things first! Have you drained the Float bowl?

You should get new gaskets and then check valve lash. Check your Manual for settings. Time for new spark plugs? Have you checked the Flywheel/Crankshaft key to be sure it hasn't partially sheared?

Not sure of your model. Some Throttles actuate the Choke as well and you may have been doing that. Look at the simple things first. Fuel, Fuel Filter, tight carb to manifold bolts etc.

Use a funnel with a fine screen when refueling. Ethanol fuel lasts for about 30 days before degrading. Don't drain out the last dregs from a tank metal or plastic. That is where the Water is.

Higher Octane Fuel simply burns slower so there is no knock on High (9.7 t0 12:1) Compression engines. You are lucky to be able to buy Ethanol free fuel. Can't in Canada thanks to Lieberals.

I expect the Spark Plug is carboned up due to running rich with the Choke On. Find the number on the porcelain portion of the spark plug and purchase a new one. Carefully remove the old one, check gap on new one. A good time to sharpen blades and change oil if needed.

After such abuse with maintenance it is no wonder. You may have Water in the float bowl. Change the oil, air filter and spark plug.

Ethanol Free gasoline has been banned in Canada thanks to Feds. Ethanol absorbs moisture. Keep containers full and tightly capped. Gasoline does not evaporate to Varnish. Try to use it in 30 days, then get fresh fuel.

Connect a known Good Battery to the Starter. + cable to big lug on Starter, Last connection to good Ground on Frame. Starter should rotate. Perhaps try jumpers on all 'safety' switches (3-4).

Pull off the Recoil cover and carefully inspect the Keyway and Crankshaft key. Slots should line up exactly. When the blade(s) strike a solid object the key is designed to shear partially or completely so the Crankshaft is not damaged. Replace key with an OEM one.
