Confirming fluid capacity for hydrostatic transmission in a HRX217K6HYAA

I'm baffled, why do you want to perform a multiple flush such a small amount of fluid? Seems to me that and empty with a lengthy drain out, then one flush would suffice.

I think these are sealed light grease filled gear boxes, not hydrostatic. There is fluid check that I am aware of.

Recommendation for new 0 turn mower

Hello Mjhover, Sounds like a plan. Make sure you have a way to transport it in the future if needed. Pickup and delivery are never free regardless of warranty. A good extended warranty is advised from the selling dealer. Blades, belts, tires and batteries are considered wearable items so...

Craftsman LT2000 2013 with Briggs 331977-0008 Intek 540cc engine, carburetor pulsating

Fuel flow looks good from the line, make sure to check the carb fuel inlet nipple and float seat are for any trash lodge in them. It only takes a small flake of debris to create headaches when it comes to carburetors. I noticed the idle air screw has not been removed (Black restrictor cap on...

This is a battery conductance tester and does not load the battery like the old-style toaster grid designs. They are more accurate. Midtronics brand is the best on the market for this style tester. The ATD-5494 is a good one also, at a fraction of the cost.

husqvarna gt2254 transmission belt installed pic wanted

This is an odd design, likely a private labeled electrolux design sold by Husqvarna back then. Husqvarna bought out several struggling small lawn equipment startups (ventures) back then. Similar to what John Deere did with Scotts branded mowers.

I forgot to ask earlier, but can you provide a picture of the engine label information off of the upper fan shroud (if Kohler) (if B&S, the numbers stamped on the top of the valve cover) Husqvarna does not make the engine for their riders. Just documenting them on a reply would be good also...

    Kohler Courage single cylinder engines.

Hi ScrubCadet10, I think the small engine overhead valve design was a delayed bleed over from the automotive industry, it just took longer period of time after the flat head automotive engines went extinct. For small engine equipment the flat head engines were much more reliable for the end...

    Engine replacement

Hello Its Me, If a rod journal has been worn down from lack of oil and frequent overheating, the rod bolts will loosen due to the excessive knocking that has been ignored by the operator. Craftsman LT2000 2013 with Briggs 331977-0008 Intek 540cc engine, carburetor pulsating

Hi 1Chris 1, Check for free-flowing fuel from the fuel tank to the carburetor. Remove the line at the carburetor. Use a good size container and leave the fuel tank cap in place. See if fuel flows freely, or it has trouble flowing. If so, check for trash caught in the fuel tank exit nipple or a...

That is blocked carburetor air bleed passages. Air has to balance in the carburetor as fuel is being drawn in. If it does not, surging occurs. make sure the air cleaner to carburetor gasket is in the correct position, it has a carburetor hole it has to line up with.

Hello 1chris1, The thing I would do is pull the carburetor back off and spray through the main jet with (only) Chemtool B-12 carb spray with the straw attached (wear nitrile mechanic gloves), let it sit for about 15 minutes, then repeat 3 times, wait between each spraying. A fine steel tenor...

    Kohler Courage single cylinder engines.

Beware of these engines, especially used. Kohler only showed they had the "courage" to build them to self-destruct. Valve cover leaks. Hello sano888, A brass bristle brush is ideal for cleaning exposed switch terminals. "Polishing" them is overkill. Just expose clean brass or metal of the pins and you are good to go. Won't Spin Past Compression Stroke

As these engine run, the moving valve parts wear a small fraction of an amount and the valve lash open up too much, which makes compression higher. Spindle Bearings

    2010 Murray Electrical issue

Briggs & Stratton OHV Plastic Engine No Compression
