    Mantis tiller won’t stay running

Sorry that some people just don't read the posters Posting !!!! If the carb, fuel lijnes, and filter are new sounds like it may be just an adjustment issue. It takes very little turning to adjust these small carbs but maybe you should check there first if it uses HI and Low needles check both...

Hydraulics Pump Leaking or New mower

I too am the type that would sooner repair than replace a complete machine if possible. I am 75 and getting off the floor isn't so bad, but I live with COPD, so I don't have the air as much as needed and is very hard to deal with when you have the gumsion but have to work so slow to get the jobs...

Checking noises but can't leave the seat !!!

If it is using the NC switch as you said can I use a jumper wire across the terminals to do my testing of belts or pulleys? I have an automotive repair back round so I am aware of working around moving belts and pulleys. Believe me in my past I have seen guys do many crazy things around moving...

Checking noises but can't leave the seat !!!

Thanks for the replies, I am almost sure I have the two-wire type switch as this is a 2002 LTX1000 Craftsman. Don't think I'll be checking on this today tho because it is only 4 above today. I'll check the switch with an om meter before a disconnect to make sure how it works. I'll agree the...

Checking noises but can't leave the seat !!!

I was just wondering how people go about Keeping your tractor running when you are checking for problems if you can't leave the seat to keep safety switches in tacked ? The reason I'm asking is I am getting an odd noise from what sounds like belt or one of the pullies but can't tell for sure...

    Craftsman Snow Blower Attachment

So I have the blower attachment for my Craftsman LTX1000 I was just wondering if anyone else may have noticed that it would be nice if you could lift the blower a little higher than it goes now. Seems to be only maybe 3 in. sometimes it would be nice if it would be a bit higher. Maybe someone...

    Looking back

How about if you got an older semi truck outside rear view mirror they were like 6-8ins wide but maybe 16-18in long. If you could set up some brackets to mount it side ways it would be wider than longer and give you a wide view behind you. Don't know how much you really need to see but may help...

I am fed up with my Stihl Blower

Could just be the fuel filter if it has one. All my small engines have them in the tank mounted on the main fuel line. Just a thought before you go nuts chasing the problem. Good Luck I've been down this road a few times and sometimes its the easiest thing that causes a problem.

    leaky two stroke carburetor

By what your discribing sounds like fuel line to me. You will have to replace them not a big deal once you can get at them. There is usually a main in line and maybe a return.

    Hitachi leaf blower RB24EAP

Just a guess but maybe broke a little carbon loose when you pulled the plug, maybe pull plug again and with it out pull the rope a few times to clear the cylinder a bit. Put the plug back in and see if the noise is gone. Just a wild guess had this happen a few times with car engines.

Just when you think you’ve seen it all

Good post for sure and brings up a good point. How often should we be changing out the deck belt under normal use? Seems that there is alot of questions on this site about tractors not cutting right and we all go to the blades or the deck for the problems but this opens the door for just a belt...

Where is the tag with the Serial or Model number on it???

Was a Mechanic all my life ( not any more) so the wheel studs you got if the serrated collers are the right size the little extra length should not be a problem just make sure the thread size is the same, try one of the nuts to make sure. If for some reason they are to long you could just cut...

In reply to others that posted after my last post, It is a 42in deck and yes it is a challange to get a good cut but has been OK. Blade Wear Seems Odd ???

I did check and for sure the blades were mounted correctly. Guess I just never noticed this before with my other sets of blades. Seems odd that they make the blades with the longer sharpened edges that don't do anything, seems that if the blades are turning all the edges should be cutting. If...

    Help with springs in LT2000

As for that second spring Star Tech is correct . I looked at my deck but don't have that spring because my tractor does not have the PTO clutch my is manual. The engagement cable is the same I think. I don't think it goes below the trans axle but above it.

    Help with springs in LT2000

    Fixable or to the dump?

To me the threads look fine in that picture but looks like the hub or flange is what got broken. Also looks like the blade must have gotten loose because the pins for it seems to be sheered off. Not to say that there may be a broken bolt down a bit deeper in that hole that would have to be taken...

Poulan 950 zx electric clutch only works when not bolted to the crankshaft.

If the battery is really bad and doesn't have enough voltage to start the mower what makes you think it has enough to keep the clutch engaged? I know that automobile air cond. clutches need full voltage to stay in gaged so may be what is going on with the PTO clutch. Just my 2 cents worth.

How To Install 220884 - Switch-Stop (For 1-1/2 High, 38 mm Spark Plug)

    How would you fix this?

I hope I can explain this correctly, if that area is flat behind where that bolt goes thru could you make a plate that would fit behind where it is broken and tap a hole in the plate than use a longer bolt to go thru the broken area and thread into the replacement plate. You would have to make...
