It's 108F in the full sun, here in my part of Georgia. I personally won't use anything less than 10W40. 15W50 and 20W50 is also acceptable. My 2025 Polaris Ranger 570 specifies 5W50 and it's water cooled. It currently has Lucas 5W50 Side by Side oil in the sump. The Lucas oil meets Polaris...

JD, Cub Cadet, Husqvarna, and Toro are very popular in the residential riding mower market. In may area, I would say JD is #1 in the traditional residential rider market, followed by Husqvarna and Cub Cadet. They are readily available at Lowe's, Home, and Tractor Supply. JD also has a many...

Using a stepped blade in a timecutter that uses a arched blade?

Evidently, your particular Toro only offers one type of blade for that mower. Dimensions: 19.25" Long with a 5/8" center hole Toro: 88-5140-03 Rotary: 6184 Stens: 345-165 That's the sorts of things that are common with odd ball sized mower decks.

It depends on the brand and type oil that you are buying. If it's standard automotive oil, the phosphorus and zinc is going to be below 1,000ppm. Newer oils are API SP and SQ rated and have lower phosphorus and zinc levels. Valvoline VR1 is loaded with the good stuff. Triax Power Four Stroke is...

Any quality 20W50 oil will work in the Hydro -Gear 3100. Hydro-Gear doesn't specify what brand they use at the factory. They do say that any 20W50 will work. I'm currently running NAPA 20W50 in my Hydro-Gear 5400. Heck, even Mobil 1 15W50 will work. What is important is using hydraulic filters...

20W50 is perfectly fine to run in v-twin mower engines. It's a good choice in areas where the summer temperatures are high. Kawasaki recommends it if the engine is using oil. I haven't used it in my mower. I find that 10W40 four stroke motorcycle oil is adequate. The 10W40 motorcycle and ATV...

The lack of paint isn't the reason the mower isn't cutting level. The deck is evidently out of specifications or warped. better blades

I own a commercial Gravely and have experimented with several blade brands and styles. My recommendations are based on experience. If you want good discharge, the #3404 are best. This will be the blade to use during the growing season. When you want to chop up leaves or do your first spring mow, the #13016 will be the ones to go with. Most Outdoor Power Equipment dealers should have the spacers. They are 1/4" thick x 1"...

    better blades

Here's a blade that will give you a good cut. You will need 1/4" blade spacers between the blades and spindles. Rotary #3404. Now for a Gator style blade, there's the Rotary # 13016. These blades DO NOT require spacers. Both are 2 1/2" wide. Go here to see both. https://rotarycorp.com/group/BLADES

    better blades

The Gator G6 are 3" wide and 1/4" thick. So, they are heavier than the OEM blades. Your engine may not have enough horsepower to handle them. You should check your engine's RPMs. You should have 3,600 RPMs with no load and wide open throttle. That means without the PTO engaged.

Suddenly stopped, fuel leaking from bottom part of carburetor

The electrical connection goes to the anti-backfire solenoid. The leak may be coming from where that screws into the carburetor bowl. Also, the carburetor bowl has a gasket at the top. It could also be leaking there. You will need to provide the engine model number and serial numbers for further...

This is good enough. A large nail in a stud or tree works well. Balance is not as critical on a mower with multiple blades. However, balance is more important on single blade walk behind mowers.
