    have you pull the fuel tank cap off and cleaned any dirt/debris that may be restricting air/fuel flow

    try removing the battery(ies) then reinsert, now see if that does the trick... for what it's worth there's a service note on some units that if the machine hits something it will somehow shut off the power requiring the batteries to be removed and reinserted

    I'll have to look in my shop; but, I think the manual package had a "Tool" inside for hooking on to the idler arm and pulling to release the tension so the belt can be taken off or put on .. .. .. I'll see what I can find.........

    How too remove motor

    just my opinion, but I stopped buying/using anything Black & Decker 30years ago because they just weren't worth my money anymore.
